Welcome to The Little Grand Tour!
My parents were both school teachers, and when I was growing up, our summer holidays were a full 6 weeks long. The family would pile into a camper van and head off exploring the wonderful cities and landscapes of Europe for over a month every year.
Well, now its my turn to play tour guide to my daughter (3 year old) and son (1 year old). Sadly, I haven’t got a six week holiday to share with them, but that’s not going to get in our way. Flights within Europe can be very cheap – and the range of accommodation available through the web means we can find whatever we need, even on a shoestring budget.
I’m starting this blog to share ideas, and experiences of trips with little ones in tow. Maybe you will get an idea for somewhere new to visit, or learn from our mistakes and victories along the way. Inevitably, it’s going to look like an over-the-top chronicle of our family holidays to start out with, but I hope in time that other people will contribute posts about their own journeys too.
